Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, who leads the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships, the Event Coordinator plays a critical role in fulfilling the purpose of the office through event planning and communications
The position will coordinate the production of college events to CCIE standards, regulations, and expectations
In addition, the coordinator will serve as a liaison between OCEP and the Office of Communications to publicize community engagement activities and events to internal and external audiences, while adhering to UCF and CCIE communication standards
In collaboration with the OCEP team, this position will contribute expertise to outreach, partnership development, events, and communication
Collaborate with OCEP staff, the Dean’s Office, Finance Business Center, Communications, Advancement, academic and administrative units to plan, execute, and evaluate special events
Collaborate with OCEP staff to engage and energize internal and external stakeholders, and to produce consistent and quality community engagement initiatives, activities, and events
Assist with event bookings, vendor reservations, contract negotiations, and budget for college events and activities, while coordinating with appropriate offices for approvals and processing
Manage the production and coordination of all event components including, but not limited to, marketing materials, presentations, décor, signage, promotional items, and gifts
Manage internal and external attendee lists, and invitation and registration processes
Disseminate event evaluations to attendees
Write digital and print content for the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships
Write event communication materials, such as programs, flyers, event registration and calendar listings, and other marketing materials for external and internal stakeholders, including students, alumni, and community partners

College of Community Innovation and Education Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships:
College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) is a one-of-a-kind academic unit with distinct, interdisciplinary expertise and potential for partnership with community stakeholders, conceived to address societal challenges and work alongside the community. Established in 2018, the college offers undergraduate and graduate programs on the main campus and UCF Downtown. At the heart of the college's mission is the institutional commitment to transform lives and strengthen society by developing a unified vision and innovative solutions to complex social issues. CCIE promotes innovation through state-of-the-art interdisciplinary research with social impact, contemporary inclusive teaching and learning practices, and preeminent service for the disciplines, the institution, and the community. Launched in the spring of 2023, the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships (OCEP) serves to connect CCIE with educational and industry leaders, policymakers, and community organizations. In addition, the office produces College events in collaboration with CCIE faculty, staff, and offices/units.
The Opportunity:

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred experience:
• Demonstrated experience and skills in planning and executing signature events.
• Demonstrated skills in organization, project management, creativity, and problem solving.
• Experience working in a position requiring a high level of public contact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design software, event registration platforms, and the ability to learn new and existing software programs and applications.
• Strong written communication skills, including knowledge of AP writing style.
The most highly qualified candidates may possess the following qualities:
• Willingness and availability to work a varied schedule when needed (may include some evenings and weekends).
